Palm Paper Limited (PM7) is the UK site for the Palm Group based in King’s Lynn, manufacturing graphic papers. PM7 is the widest, largest and most powerful newsprint machine in the world with the capacity to produce 400,000 metric tonnes of newsprint, improved newsprint and magazine grades per annum. 

Palm Recycling Limited also based at PM7 is responsible for suppling Palm Paper Limited with the required waste paper. Carrying out collections and recycling services for the public sector and for commercial clients.

Production, sales, logistics and finance for the UK site for both Palm Paper Limited and Palm Recycling Limited is all run from PM7.

Job overview

Loading and unloading trucks of paper in bales and rolls. This involves the use of specific bale and roll clamp attachments.

All staff are in house trained on their specific role and equipment.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that the work will be done effectively and safely according to the specified standards without any damages to transported goods during operation.
  • Operate the equipment in cooperation with line manager to ensure trucks are loaded and offloaded on time.
  • Follow company procedures both operationally and in line with H+S.

Essential knowledge, skills and experiences required

  • A basic secondary education
  • An ability to operate relevant equipment and to comply with health and safety regulations
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude 
  • Good work ethic
