To maintain a variety of electrical equipment onsite to ensure efficient operation of the mill and automated processes, including:
Your education
To be trained in all technical aspects of the mechanical maintenance processes and complete the apprenticeship programme in accordance with the college and national requirements.
Location: College of West Anglia, King’s Lynn (Day release, once week) ,
Electrical Department at Palm Paper, King’s Lynn (4 days per week)
Reporting to: Training Supervisor Engineering or Appointed Mentor
Contract length: 3 years
After successfully completing a specific skill set in year 3, you will achieve a Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician qualification and could be offered a Junior Engineer position at Palm Paper.
Following successful completion of a mechanical competency skill set in year 4 at the mill, you could be promoted to an Electrical Engineer.
There is scope within the role to expand and develop personally with additional training through higher national qualifications, degrees or on specific subject matter.
