Participate in daily operations in the mill, planned preventative and reactive maintenance of machinery and equipment, including:
Your education
To be trained in all technical aspects of the mechanical maintenance processes and complete the apprenticeship programme in accordance with the college and national requirements.
Location: College of West Anglia, King’s Lynn (Day release, once per week),
Mechanical Department at Palm Paper, King’s Lynn (4 days per week)
Reporting to: Training Supervisor Engineering or Appointed Mentor
Contract length: 3 years
After successfully completing a specific skill set in year 3, you will qualify with a Level 3 Maintenance Operation Engineering Technician certification and could become a Junior Engineer at Palm Paper.
Following successful completion of a mechanical competency skill set in year 4 at the mill, you could be promoted to a Mechanical Engineer.
There is scope within the role to expand and develop personally with additional training through higher national qualifications, degrees or on specific subject matter.
